Los Angeles, California is home to me. I was born and raised in this great city. I married and raised a family here. And I taught mathematics and computer science in local secondary schools and community colleges for thirty-two years.
I did a lot of interesting things in addition to teaching by making good use of the summers and putting in some overtime nights. I studied psychology, sociology and history at local universities, primarily USC and UCLA. Picked up a masters in mathematics at Boston College (1966). Obtained an administrative credential (Cal State Northridge 1974). And even published a novel (Fatal Games, Pageant Press, 1989).
I left teaching some ten years back. While I may still be something of a mathematician, programmer and writer, I remain at heart a teacher. I now live with my wife in the foothills of the Sierra-Nevadas, just a few miles west of Yosemite National Park. My wife seems determined to spoil four grandchildren. For my part, I am content to continue helping webmasters grow their sites.
July, 2007: It is with great sadness we report that Bob has passed from this life. He was an irreplacable asset to iCop, and we will miss him beyond words. The world is a poorer place without him.
