EXCELLENCE can be attained if you - CARE more than others think
is wise - RISK more than others think is safe - DREAM more than
others think is practical - and EXPECT more than others think is
possible.

They're all the same - netlog.com / reunion.com / who cares?
They probably claim it isn't spam because it isn't sent in bulk.
But, then, how do I KNOW that?
Just something else to stuff my inbox and waste my time.
ARRRGGGHHH!
Ah well, if that's all I have to worry about ...
I guess while some of us are bitching at the pumps about the
cost of gas, we should be grateful we aren't having to replace
everything we own.
Those who should be reading this, probably aren't. But, I'd
like to give you a bit of advice.
I think everyone's online businesses are hurting right now.
Some may say this severe downturn in the USA economy isn't
hurting them at all. HA! They only WISH!
It HAS to be hurting nearly ALL businesses, because it affects
every person in this country. But, believe it, or not, this is
normal. People are simply readjusting how they spend money.
Given a bit of time, it'll all straighten out. I still maintain
that established online businesses can actually benefit from
this as more and more folks seek to augment their income online.
Like everything else, it may take a bit of time and patience.
Meanwhile, there's a lot of economic fear. And, of course, the
fear just exacerbates the situation and brings about more of
what people fear.
Do yourself a favor, and don't contribute to that! Stay
positive - knowing this, too, will pass. It always does.
Keep doing what you're doing. Don't cut corners on your
business. That WILL hurt you in the long run. And, don't
forget - the timing SUCKS because we have the slowdown to deal
with that naturally happens this time of year online. But, it
will ALL pass!
Maybe I've just been too busy to worry. Believe me - I KNOW the
challenges we face right now. However, dwelling on them will do
nothing but hurt us. So, I keep on keepin' on!
In fact, I'm walking around with a hand like a claw from all the
updating I've been doing within iCop. It's looking like I
actually might get us all ready by the end of this month. At
worst, we can probably at least get started early next month.
That gives us a couple of months to get things smoothed out.
Then, we'll be ready to hit hard with the new selling season in
September.
I'll start telling you now ... If you're an iCop member, I'm
going to be asking for your input and ideas.

Some high points: Experian (credit bureau) is suing LifeLock
alleging fraud and deceit. So are lots of other people - The
founder is alleged (NOTE: ALLEGED) to have a police record for,
among other things, identity theft. This guy's Social Security
number has allegedly been successfully used by identity thieves.
There's much more. Before you even think about spending a
nickel with LifeLock, do your homework!

Sorry - the newsletter is short, this week, but I'm really
pushing to get other things done for you. And, I've been all
over the place, today.
I need to add one thing. I missed a chance to promote iCop's
web hosting program last week.
I mentioned that having hacker problems on web sites can be
related to the security - or, lack thereof - of your web host.
I gave you some solutions offered by those who have BEEN hacked.
But, the point is this: solutions such as using CAPTCHA on your
administration panel can certainly help. However, your FIRST
line of defense is - and always will be - your web host.
My partner, Chuck Mattice, at iCopHosting.net is constantly out
there watching what's happening. He makes a career out of
staying on top of things AND making sure we have the latest and
greatest security. Always!
Can you IMAGINE what he'd have to put up with from me if
anything happened to the iCop web site!? I go ballistic if he
doesn't keep my spam down to manageable levels. He does!
The magic bullet is to have a web host who will take care of
you. When things are done properly on your server, you
shouldn't have to worry about all the extra solutions you have
to do for yourself.
That's what you pay your hosting company for - or, it SHOULD be.
Me? I don't do SQUAT. Chuck does it all at the server level.
Now, when all that sinks in, and/or you get tired of the
constant hassle of trying to stay ahead of the hackers yourself

A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it - don't waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.
A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products.
A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms up!
A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.
A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain ... No pain.
A: YOU'RE NOT LISTENING! Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could fried foods be bad for you?
A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.
A: Are you crazy? HELLO Cocoa beans! Another vegetable! It's the best feel-good food around!
A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.
A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape!
